Roman, ca. 2nd century A.D., based on a Greek model from the 4th century B.C.
White, gray veined marble worked all-around with sintering. Standing figure of the Goddess Artemis wearing a knee-length chiton, over it she is wearing a himation reaching down to the level of her hips. To the right of the figure and at her feet is her symbol, a hunting dog, leaning against the remains of a column.
